Evening all
We have rode our luck in the last few games and pundits don't give us a cat in hell's chance of finishing 4th, it's been sometime since we have played anything near our best, with Leicester today and Newcastle and Wolves coming up we need to get back to our best to get something from these matches.

If you fancy a punt you can get
Ratch 50/1
Arthur 11/1
Desmond 10/1
Leonard 8/1

COME ON YOU MIGHTY IRONSSSSSS

I’d be more confident if they were any good. Dropped like a stone. Need to get back to playing well and it’s a good time to start.

Charley, ted, all..

No at all confident. Same old tired players being wheeled out. You would need the memory of an elephant to remember the last time we played well. Anyone? Also, as said, Leicester are due a win, they won't keep losing. Would certainly take a draw. Alas..

2-0

Coffee - I just can't get over the January window, Antonio is jet lagged, out of form, yet he will play 90 mins today. Palace had 4 forward players on their bench last week. This situation is BS, what is going on? If we end up 7th/8th and basically back to square one, then it's fucking unforgivable.

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
I know.

One thing about Moyes is that he tends to keep his cards close to his chest. That presumably means that he's been trying to get reinforcements, but just hasn't succeeded for whatever reason.

Personally, I feel reasonably confident that he knows what he's doing. He knows as well as anyone else that we need more firepower. I'd much rather we waited impatiently for the right signing than spending megabucks on duds just so that we can satisfy ourselves that we have brought someone in.

As for back to square one, you'd be looking at 15th, 16th, 17th and beyond for that. Even 7th or 8th represents an achievement in the context of recent history (recent = last decade or two). And the fact that 7th or 8th may feel disappointing says an awful lot in itself.

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
No excuse whatsoever for not bringing in squad/cover players. We can't keep saying 'next window'

The other bit you are going down the road of because we use to be shit we should willingly except any crap going on now. I'm fully aware of our crap history, we all are, but it's a dangerous game to start going backwards from the previous season. As said many times already, finishing outside the European spots lessens our status and everything that goes with that. We should be building on last season and have had a great opportunity to do so. All this has been said many times already.

Moyes may well end up proving us all wrong and we may finish top 6 again, let's hope that is the case.

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Moyes has been quoted a couple of times saying that he wants a minimum 2 extra points this season tan last, currently we are 2 points behind at the same stage as last season, so now have 4 points to make up. We lost at home to Leeds and Moyes used fatigue as an excuse. If we miss out on top 4, or even top 6, by a couple of points I reckon you can put that down to no new faces, no options off the bench, etc. And let's not forget why we sold our sold and moved in the first place, it wasn't to finish 7th/8th.

If we defend well . We ought to get a result Leicester are terrible defensively especially from set pieces . And surely Antonio is due a performance sooner or later. saying that the same goes for benrhama and fornals .

Will come down to our home form for me, manners.

Our next five home games are Newcastle, wolves, villa, Everton and Burnley. No excuses for not taking maximum points against that shower.

Evening Charley
Morning all
Moyes to keep his good form going here. I'll go with Ratch on this one.
Come over to the optimist side, look for the positive, it's a lot more enjoyable.

Anyone bother to ask the owners what they want out of this season?

THEIR line between success & failure as that is all that matters here, no matter how shouty we all get.

If it's 17th and anything else is dosh in the sky, juvverly-jubbly, might as well pick summer break beach you'll see the team on today.

Personally, I think in games like the 3 or 4 coming up we should be blooding the youngsters - fuck it! We've been playing like a pub team on occasions since the New Year, so may as well go for it.

Hopefully, Pussygate will have a positive impact on the team and spur us on.

Mike - I expect there might be a few youngsters in the squad. None of Ashby, Longelo, Alese and Baptiste were involved with the U23s the other day. But I very much doubt any of them will get on unless we're 3 - 0 up within the hour.
